Teeball is finally finished for the year. We had a huge pizza party with gifts and all kinds of goodies after the game Thursday night. Thanks to the parents we all ended up with lots of goodies, pictures and all that sort of stuff. There are medals to be handed out yet and the awards I am going to make.
I FINALLY got proper printer ink. Thanks to the guys at Rapid Refill for getting me outfitted. I’ve used them in the past when in Livonia but there wasn’t one here. Now that there is, they will be getting all of my business. I tested the printer and all is good and running right. I can finally make copies again and fax stuff. Woo freakin hoo.
All Stars starts up on the 5th and runs till the 14th. The girls are gearing up for their first clinic soon and if they do well enough at All Stars, they have a shot at going to State. That would be major cool for the girls. Major drawback - Lauren’s visit time with her dad is cut down big time.
Given how her mouth has been lately, her visit time being cut hurts me deeply. She has turned into a mouthy lil shit and I’ve come close to slapping her in the mouth. Lauren has developed this attitude that she can joke and be a smartass as much as she pleases, even if I’m not joking. Guess what? Not fucking happening in my house. She has had her “bffl” here the last couple of days and it only made it worse so she is NOT allowed to stay the night with aforementioned “bffl” (Hannah) tonight as originally planned. Screw that I’m not rewarding her. I may not like her much today but she’s going to learn that letting your tongue waggle will only cut off your head. She’s home tonight after we get back from the bar.
Oh yeah did I mention I’m going out? Yep. I am. I even bought a new shirt for it. Shawn, Phil, Laura and I are going to a local place in Paw Paw for drinks and some much needed social time. My kids are going to their place and their 15 yr old son Matt is going to watch them. I’m looking forward to the time out of the house. I don’t get out nearly enough and in all honesty, my social skills are lacking. Sure, I work and get to talk to everyone and their damn brother (everyone is fucking related in this town) all day long but it’s not the same. Laura can totally relate to this I’m sure. She almost left for a job in the “city” (note sarcasm) but she opted to stay here and be a big fish in a small pond, where I am just a frog waiting to be kissed into a princess. (Yeah yeah yunk it up folks, get your laughs)
I work all of 2 days next week and I’m actually thrilled. The more I am at work, the more I notice my knee swells and my pain increases (not the good kind of pain either) so working less has it’s advantages even if money stays tight. I don’t mind one damn bit. I’d rather have to pinch pennies then work too much and worry about seeing my Ortho too damn soon. I called him and spoke to him about my knee. If the swelling doesn’t stay down, he is going to recommend actual physical therapy (that I’m trying to avoid) and force me to rehab outside of the house. Of course, the extra weigh that I’m carrying doesn’t help.
It’s time for a much stricter diet. I have to buckle down and back off the few lil goodies that I allow myself. So, no more ice cream. That is a huge downfall of mine but as of Sunday, no more. I eat ok but it could be better so that’s going to get overhauled as well. I need some motivation though so I’m going to try to enlist some help and see if that can get me to stay on track better.
Time to paint the face and hide all the massive imperfections. I have to finish getting ready and get the kids situated as well. I think Logan will end up playing video games with Matt while Lauren & Hannah do girlie things in her room. Hopefully, its not all make up and perfume or Lauren will have to be scoured clean before going to bed.
I’m off to make with the prettiness. Brewsters .. here I come!
