Tidbits from an abnormal mother in a normal world

Lazy Day

July26

The heat and humidity returned again. Funnily enough, it didn’t dampen my mood at all. I was happy to get busy with a few things that just needed to be dealt with.

I was feeling extremely industrious and I stripped ALL the comforters and heavy large blankets from their nesting or resting places, gathered all my goods needed and drove to the local laundry and washed all of them. All 15 of them. This included the lovely handmade crocheted blanket I made several years back when Fran was still alive. It’s big enough to cover a California King bed. I simply love it. All jewel tone green Homespun yarn. It took me forever but it was well worth it.

I gathered my DS, my mp3 player with freshly loaded songs and curled up quietly in a corner playing Brain Age 2 and jamming to some Snookers Dogs. I came home and stripped every bed and remade them all with fresh bedding and VERY nice smelling blankets for everyone.

For now, I’m taking my kids to the movies. We are going to see Journey to the Center of the World in 3D. Off we go!

Have fun, your kids will love it, I’m sure. I took my little one a week or so ago, it was his first 3D. He was enthralled. I hadn’t seen a 3D movie since some muppets shit when I was a kid, so I was surprised at the improvements in the glasses. LOL..no more red/blue cardboard with eyes that fall out!
