So the last week has been hellacious.
My master shower decided to die and only spew forth SCALDING hot water this week. After 7 calls to Lowes, 6 to Home Depot, 3 to Menards, a trip to Lowes then finally to Wagner’s Commerical Plumbing supply downtown, I identified my faucet (ProFlow) got the right cartridge and came home. Now I just had to tear the faucet apart and put in the new cartridge.
Thanks to Bill, I was able to get walked through the worst of it. I got the set screw out, the ring plate off the wall, oh and the pump turned off (since I’m on septic/well) and then got the parts all taken off. Getting the last half of the cartridge was by far the hardest to deal with but after taking a moment and thinking, I managed. I fixed my faucet all on my own. Ta-da.
Lauren has been a pill most of the last week. Logan hasn’t been much better. Shawn is .. Shawn. Life really is just … blah.
On the upside, someone quit at work (one of the new cashiers) so my hours likely won’t get cut anytime soon. Shawn is working alot and most of the bills are current, which is nice.
My birthday is coming up and he’s been asking me what I want since the bills aren’t completely out of hand. I’ve talked of a digital reader but they are still on the pricey side. Though I really want one, I will likely not get it. It will have to wait. I’ve got another thing or two on my list that I’m considering.
Tomorrow brings on the start of a new school year, thank goodness. I am soooo ready for the kids to be gone during the day. I can try to get back to a normal routine with work and enjoy some peace and quiet.
Ya’ll enjoy the last bit of summer. It’s overcast and raining here. I think its a day for the Wii and some quiet.
